About

One guy. One great product. Always improving.

ContractorsChat is built by one founder — bootstrapped, no VC, no marketing fluff. Small team, sharp product, real contractors on the line every two weeks.

The story

Why I built this.

I watched too many good contractors lose weekends reconciling timesheets, chasing trades on text, and invoicing at 11pm on Sunday. The construction industry leaks billions a year to broken communication — and the tools built to fix it are either $400/seat enterprise platforms or half-finished apps from a startup that'll pivot next year.

So I built ContractorsChat. One person. No investors telling me to add “enterprise workflows” nobody asked for. No marketing team inflating feature lists. Just me, writing code, talking to contractors, and shipping what actually moves the needle on the jobsite.

“Contractors don't need another dashboard. They need their time back.”

How I run this

Four principles. Zero corporate jargon.

One guy. One product.

No investors. No marketing department. No offshore team writing code I don't read. Every feature ships because a real contractor asked for it.

Small. Efficient. Effective.

Low overhead means low prices stay low. No enterprise sales team adding a 40% margin. The savings go into the product and back to you.

Always improving.

I ship weekly. Sometimes daily. If a bug hits a GC on a Friday, it's fixed by Saturday morning — not on next quarter's roadmap.

No bullshit.

No tracking pixels, no fake urgency banners, no "call us for pricing." Pricing is on the pricing page. Free tier means free forever.

Bi-weekly · free · on the record

Come to the feedback call.

Every two weeks I host a live call with contractors and trades using ContractorsChat. Share what's broken. Suggest features. Roast the UI. I listen, I ship. That's the whole loop.

  • Open mic — no slides, no pitch, no recording released
  • Features you raise get prioritized next sprint
  • Meet the other GCs & trades running on the app

Hiring · 1 seat

Looking for one more developer.

Senior full-stack (Next.js, Postgres, AWS). Someone who can ship a feature Monday and have a GC using it Tuesday. Paid, remote, small team stays small. Ideally someone who's swung a hammer themselves.

That's it. No HR page. No 30-person team photo. No “50+ years combined experience” marketing-speak. Just a working product and a direct line.

Stop the bleed

Install the app. Ship the next job without the chaos.

Free forever for solo ops. 6 months of Pro on every new account. No credit card to start.
